Bonza Announces New Services To Darwin And Alice Springs

Bonza has revealed Darwin and Alice Springs as its newest destinations, significantly boosting domestic tourism. With three new routes – Sunshine Coast to Darwin, Gold Coast to Darwin, and Melbourne to Alice Springs – the airline will add 12 new weekly flights to and from the NT.

The new routes result from the Territory Aviation Attraction Scheme, which aims to increase competition in the Northern Territory sky.

Flights are on sale today, with the Sunny Coast-Darwin route beginning at $149pp (one way) on 29 November, the Gold Coast-Darwin route starting at $149pp (one way) on 1 December, and Melbourne-Alice Springs starting at $139pp (one way) on 12 December.

Bonza CEO Tim Jordan praised the Northern Territory Government’s Territory Aviation Attraction Scheme today at Darwin Airport, saying it was critical in recruiting Bonza to the region and will bring the NT closer to more Australians than ever before.

The airline’s arrival in the Northern Territory represents its fifth State or Territory and the 20th and 21st destinations on its current route plan.
