Silversea has unveiled its World Cruise 2029, A Pacific Awakening, a 125‑day ultra‑luxury journey aboard Silver Whisper that will explore more than 60 destinations across 19 countries, with a strong focus on culture, wayfinding and immersive experiences. Departing San Diego on 5 January 2029 and concluding in Singapore, the itinerary crosses the Pacific through Polynesia, Micronesia, Melanesia, Australia, New Zealand and Asia, weaving in six exclusive events and an included overland experience along the way.
Eight Chapters Across The Pacific
A Pacific Awakening is structured into eight themed chapters, each revealing a different facet of the Pacific’s story. Guests begin with The Ancestral Isles from San Diego to Tahiti, honouring Hawaii and Polynesian navigation traditions, before following the Way of the Wayfinder through French Polynesia, Samoa, Fiji and onward to Auckland, tracing ancient celestial routes. Subsequent chapters—such as The Wild & The Worldly (Auckland to Melbourne) and Currents of Contrast (Melbourne to Bali)—juxtapose glacier‑carved fjords and remote coasts with vibrant cityscapes, wine regions and wildlife encounters along Australia’s southern shores.
Further segments, including Emerald Lands & Golden Coasts (Bali to Manila), Cerulean Shores & Sakura Skies (Manila to Tokyo) and Spring at the Gates of Empire (Tokyo to Hong Kong), delve into rainforest kingdoms, cherry‑blossom‑season Japan and imperial legacies across East Asia, before the final Across Temple Kingdoms chapter carries guests from Hong Kong to Singapore through temple‑rich Southeast Asia. Across the voyage, 17 overnights and extended port calls allow for deeper engagement with local cultures, from UNESCO‑listed sites to bustling markets and village traditions.
Six Signature Events And An Overland Highlight
Silversea’s World Cruise 2029 features six exclusive events designed around the theme “From Kingdoms to Dynasties,” seamlessly integrated into the itinerary. Highlights include a private evening at Honolulu’s ʻIolani Palace, an intimate performance by the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra at Hobart’s historic Theatre Royal, and a full‑ship private island celebration on Kalanggaman Island in the Philippines, complete with cultural performances and an open‑air dinner under the stars. Guests will also enjoy The Mysteries of Japan in Tokyo, an immersive night inspired by imperial heritage, plus a spectacular closing event at Pattaya’s Sanctuary of Truth, where an elegant seaside dinner amid the hand‑carved temple provides a memorable finale.
An included overland experience to Xi’an offers rare after‑hours access to the Terracotta Warriors, with additional optional overlands—such as Beijing itineraries featuring the Great Wall and Forbidden City—adding further depth for guests drawn to UNESCO‑listed icons and imperial history. Alongside marquee ports, the cruise calls at lesser‑visited gems like Motu Tapu in French Polynesia, Bohol and Romblon in the Philippines, and Vigan, a UNESCO site renowned for its preserved Spanish colonial streets.
Ultra-Luxury Aboard Silver Whisper
Hosting just 392 guests, Silver Whisper is one of the smallest luxury ships ever dedicated to a world cruise, creating an intimate, club‑like atmosphere at sea. All‑suite, ocean‑view accommodation with dedicated butler service and a near one‑to‑one crew‑to‑guest ratio ensures highly personalised attention throughout the 125 days, complemented by multiple restaurants, elegant lounges and Silversea’s S.A.L.T. culinary programme that ties menus and experiences to local gastronomy. Built to access smaller harbours and remote islands, Silver Whisper can reach hidden edges of the Pacific that larger ships often miss, bringing guests closer to communities, coastlines and cultures that few travellers encounter.
An exclusive pre‑sale for Venetian Society members opens 14 April 2026, with general sales from 21 April 2026.
