Explora II Opens Reservations for ‘A Serene Mediterranean’
Explora Journeys has opened reservations for ‘A Serene Mediterranean’, EXPLORA II’s Winter 2026–2027 Journeys Collection, alongside select additional itineraries and curated destination experiences. Sailing from November 2026 through March 2027, the season is designed around the quieter, softer side of the Mediterranean, after peak‑summer crowds have disappeared and a more contemplative rhythm returns to its coasts and islands.
Full details and bookings are available on the Explora Journeys website.
President’s Journey with Anna Nash
A highlight of the collection is an intimate President’s Journey, personally hosted by Explora Journeys’ president Anna Nash. From 9 to 15 December 2026, Nash will welcome guests aboard EXPLORA II on “A Journey of Atlantic Light & Volcanic Shores” from Barcelona to Lisbon, creating space for genuine connection through hosted events, conversations and behind‑the‑scenes insights into the brand’s approach to modern luxury ocean travel.
Guests on this sailing can expect thoughtfully curated moments that bring them closer to the creative ideas, people and details that shape Explora Journeys’ Ocean State of Mind philosophy.
Shorter 4–9 Night Journeys, Same Ocean State of Mind
To give travellers more flexibility, Explora Journeys has also introduced a range of shorter 4–9 night itineraries within the Serene Mediterranean collection. Designed for guests discovering the brand for the first time or returning for a refined escape with fewer days away, these journeys maintain the line’s depth and elegance while offering easier trip planning.
Highlights span Lanzarote’s volcanic landscapes, the cliff‑top villages of Oia and Fira in Santorini, the cultural richness of Sicily and Tunisia, overnight stays in Casablanca, Málaga and Madeira, and quieter ports such as Patmos, La Gomera and Siracusa. From the Greek Islands to Portugal and Morocco’s Atlantic coasts, each itinerary is curated for authentic encounters and slower, more meaningful Mediterranean travel.
Curated Destination Experiences Now Open
Reservations are also open for a new collection of curated destination experiences that deepen guests’ connection to Mediterranean culture through art, gastronomy and history.
Examples include:
- Málaga – Tracing Picasso’s legacy through his birthplace, culminating in an exclusive opening of the Picasso Museum for a more private encounter with his work.
- Lisbon – Exploring a historic convent and Portugal’s azulejo tradition via museum visits and hands‑on ceramic workshops.
- Reus (Catalonia) – Immersing in the world that first shaped Gaudí’s imagination, revealing the roots of his modernist vision.
- Near Naples – A more intimate look at Pompeii, including the Villa of the Mysteries, paired with volcanic wines shaped by mineral‑rich soils under Mount Vesuvius.
- Palermo – Entering a historic palazzo to experience the refined culinary world of the Duchess of Palma and Sicilian gastronomic traditions.
- Tangier – Sensing Moroccan cuisine through the rhythm of the souks and the preparation of a traditional tagine.
- Tuscany (near Livorno) – Journeying along the iconic Viale dei Cipressi to local estates and wineries that express the character of the Tuscan landscape.
Each experience is designed for smaller groups and quieter, off‑peak moments, offering a more personal perspective on iconic destinations.
Limited-Time Savings with ‘An Invitation to Explora’
To coincide with the opening of reservations, guests can take advantage of Explora Journeys’ current ‘An Invitation to Explora’ offer, which provides up to 30% savings on eligible journeys booked by 27 May (regional terms may vary slightly). The promotion includes a reduced deposit and can be combined with select programs, making it easier to secure preferred suites and dates for the Winter 2026–2027 Mediterranean season.
You can explore the full ‘A Serene Mediterranean’ collection and available offers directly at explorajourneys.com.
If you were to book one of these journeys, would you be more drawn to the President’s Journey from Barcelona to Lisbon or to a shorter 4–7 night escape focused on a single region like the Greek Islands or Morocco and Madeira?
