Atlas Ocean Voyages reveals 2028 Arctic program
Atlas Ocean Voyages has opened up an expanded 2028 Arctic season, confirming 13 luxury expeditions of seven to 17 nights across Svalbard, Greenland, Iceland and Eastern Canada. Sailing aboard World Navigator and World Voyager, the program is designed to offer “more choice, more depth and more ways to explore the polar regions,” according to James A. Rodriguez, President and CEO of Atlas Ocean Voyages.
The new season centres on small‑ship, yacht‑style expeditions that combine wildlife viewing, Zodiac safaris and guided landings with Atlas’ signature focus on immersive cultural encounters. Guests can look forward to opportunities to see beluga whales, polar bears, Arctic foxes, seabirds and walrus colonies, while expedition teams lead hikes, ice cruises and educational briefings ashore and on board.

Itinerary highlights: Svalbard, Greenland, Iceland & Canada
The 2028 Arctic lineup has been curated to showcase the High North from multiple angles, with routes that can be sailed standalone or combined into longer journeys. In Svalbard, guests travelling via Longyearbyen can opt for the “Life in the Arctic” Atlas Immersive experience, which includes visits to the Global Seed Vault and insights into everyday life in the world’s northernmost communities.
In Greenland, select expeditions call at remote settlements such as Ittoqqortoormiit, one of the most isolated Inuit communities in the world, offering meaningful encounters with local culture against a backdrop of towering cliffs and drifting ice. The program also adds new and returning routes in the Canadian Arctic, exploring Disko Bay, Nunavut and Labrador, where guests can experience calving glaciers, iceberg‑choked bays and coastal communities shaped by centuries of maritime history.
Example 2028 itineraries include:
- Arctic Frontier Passage – Tromsø to Longyearbyen, 7 nights, departing 10 June 2028
- Arctic Isles & Volcanic Shores – Longyearbyen to Reykjavik, 10 nights, departing 17 June 2028
- Polar Wilderness Quest – Nuuk to Churchill, 16 nights, departing 29 July 2028
- Fjords & Frontiers – Nuuk to St John’s, 17 nights, departing 12 September 2028
Explorer’s Choice offer on 2028 Arctic expeditions

To add extra value, Atlas is extending its Explorer’s Choice offer to the 2028 Arctic season, giving guests a complimentary amenity tailored to their travel style. Travellers can choose between an Air Credit of up to US$1,500 per suite, complimentary unlimited Wi‑Fi or a pre‑expedition hotel stay, helping to smooth the journey to and from the Arctic.
Guests reserving accommodations in the Reserve Collection receive an enhanced benefit and can select two amenities, further elevating the overall experience. With suites now open for reservation, Atlas is positioning the 2028 Arctic program as one of its most flexible and customisable polar seasons to date, combining meaningful immersion with the brand’s intimate yacht‑style comfort.
