Beond, the world’s first premium leisure airline, took to the skies with the unveiling of its elegant and unique aircraft livery.
The airline presented its first aircraft, an Airbus A319 seating 44 passengers in a luxury all-lay-flat configuration, during events in Malé, Maldives, and at a global media event streamed online and in-person in Dubai, attended by dignitaries, investors, supporters, and staff.
“Welcome to Beond!” Our goal is simple: to fly our customers to the most unique and unspoilt destinations where they can release their inner explorer on the most memorable vacation of their lives,” stated Tero Taskila, CEO and founder of Beond
.”Today is the start of our vision for our customers, embodied by this beautiful aircraft — inside and out. “We couldn’t be more excited to show it off in the Maldives, our home, and Dubai. We especially want to thank the Maldives government, our supporters there, and the Maldives Civil Aviation Authority and SIMDI Group for believing in our vision for a new Maldives airline. Our staff will do all possible to bring tourists to this beautiful nation.” Mr Taskila added.
The debut flights of Beyond are set for November 2023, with the Riyadh route flying on November 9, the Munich flight departing on November 15, and the Zurich flight departing on November 17. Early-bird guests have chartered the aircraft between today and the scheduled service debut to explore the Maldives. Furthermore, the airline announced additional flights from Dubai and Milan, which would commence in late March 2024.
“Today is the realisation of a dream I first had 20 years ago,” said Max Nilov, Beond’s Chief Strategy Officer and founder. “I had a dream for this airline, this aircraft, and this passenger experience.” We have established a premium experience with an unrivalled operating philosophy.”
“The response from customers and stakeholders in our launch cities has been excellent — which was to be expected,” said Sascha Feuerherd, Chief Commercial Officer of Beyond. And now, curiosity has grown due to additional new origins on our route map. “I’m excited to meet our first passengers as they board.”
Beyond will operate a cutting-edge Airbus A320-family aircraft fleet in a unique luxury, lay-flat configuration, carrying passengers from Europe, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific to the Maldives. The first Beyond aircraft will be on show at the Dubai Air Show in mid-November. More Airbus aeroplanes will join the Beyond fleet in late 2023 or early 2024.
