Delta has announced that on 28 October 2023, they will start operating a brand-new nonstop service between Los Angeles and Auckland. Delta will operate its Airbus A350-900, which has 32 Delta One suites, 48 Delta Premium Select seats, 36 Comfort Plus seats, and 190 Economy Class seats.
The new service will be operated daily using an Airbus A350-900 aircraft. In addition to the daily service to Tokyo-Haneda and the ten flights per week during the winter to Sydney, this new destination will also be served out of Los Angeles International Airport. Other recently added Los Angeles services include Tahiti, Paris, and London Heathrow.
As the busiest airline in Los Angeles, Delta serves more than fifty-three different countries with more than one hundred and fifty flights daily.
After introducing the new terminal’s “headhouse” and “T3” facilities last year, Delta is continuing to modernise the airport experience at LAX. The west headhouse, complete with a separate Delta One check-in room, will open to the public this spring.
In 2024, the airport will also welcome the first-of-its-kind Delta One Club, which will be connected to the current Terminal 3 Club and offer a more exclusive VIP experience with a more personalised and dedicated level of service.
Delta’s new service from Los Angeles to Auckland will be an excellent addition to their already popular Los Angeles to Sydney route. Air New Zealand is the sole carrier offering service from Los Angeles to Auckland, New Zealand.
Delta has announced new routes to Auckland and Nice and increased frequency to Paris and Tel Aviv. Edinburgh, Berlin, Dusseldorf, Geneva, and Stuttgart are just a few of the destinations added to the schedule, many of which have not been serviced since before the pandemic.
