Le Lapérouse ship in Sydney Harbour- Photo: Ponant
After an absence of more than three years, the small exploration ship Le Lapérouse returned to Sydney Harbour last Friday, marking the beginning of the much-awaited 2023 season for Ponant.
Le Lapérouse departed Sydney the same evening on a new eight-day trip that will take them to Hobart, highlighting the finest of Australia’s south-eastern coast along the way.
After this, on the 23rd of December, she will embark on an 11-day ‘Food, Wine, and Yacht Race in Tasmania’ itinerary, where she and her guests may celebrate the end of the year at the finish line of the 2022 Sydney to Hobart yacht race and usher in the New Year in style.
Among its domestic voyages, Le Lapérouse will delve into the culture of Indonesia, visit the preserved nature and magical landscapes of New Zealand’s North and South Islands, and sail through the ancient cultures of the Philippines and Malaysia.
Ponant Le Lapérouse is a cutting-edge, purpose-built small expedition ship that provides a one-of-a-kind cruise experience with unrivalled comfort and luxury for exploring the region. It is environmentally friendly, fitted with state-of-the-art equipment, and features lounges designed to be largely open to the exterior.
All rooms have a balcony or private deck, and guests can access various on-site amenities like a spa, a pool, and a bar.
