Emirates has announced the earlier of the A380 service to Perth by one month, which sees the arrival of the Superjumbo sooner than planned.
The A380 service was expected to restart on December 1, 2022, but will now be operating a month sooner, adding more than 160 seats per day to Emirates’ existing capacity.
Each direction on the Emirates A380 flight to Perth will have more than 500 seats.
Flight EK420 will leave Dubai at 2:45 am local time and land in Perth at 1:20 pm the same day.
Perth’s EK421 will take off at 22:20 local time and land in Dubai’s DXB at 05:25 the following morning.
According to Barry Brown, Emirates’ Divisional Vice President Australasia, the airline is resuming A380 service sooner to accommodate the increased demand for international flights departing from Western Australia.
Brown said in a statement, “Due to the constantly high demand for international travel out of Western Australia, we are happy that Perth will be joining our A380 network sooner than expected.” This news coincides with the airline’s celebration of 20 years of service to Perth.
As Brown said, “We want to thank our Western Australia customers for their loyalty. We look forward to seeing them back on board our flagship A380 in November, when they may once again take advantage of our premium services, innovative goods, and spacious cabins in every class.
Emirates uses their Boeing 777-300ER to fly to Perth; however, beginning in November 2022, they will switch to utilising their A380.
Emirates runs thrice-daily A380 services from Dubai to Melbourne and Sydney and once-daily services from Dubai to Brisbane, in addition to its services to Perth
