Bonza has announced that the name of its first brand-new plane will be “Shazza,” the Australian short form of Sharon.
Earlier this month, the budget airline put out a request for ideas, inviting Australians to ‘nick their nicknames.
Bonza Local Legends, who will serve as the airline’s ambassadors in the towns Shazza and her colleagues will link, narrowed the hundreds of suggestions down to a final list.
Earlier this month’s arriving Boeing 737-MAX is currently having her interiors Bonza-ified with the required purple accents. Simultaneously, the airline is developing its in-flight and cabin crew training programmes, finalising its all-Australian cuisine, and conducting rigorous testing of its Fly Bonza App, through which passengers will make all flight reservations (except for local travel agents). In addition, plans are in motion to soon welcome Bonza’s second plane.
“The Bonza Local Legends, who act as the company’s representatives on the ground in the neighbourhoods where our planes will touch down, unanimously voted for Shazza. I may also say that Bazza was a very close second”! Bonza’s chief commercial officer Carly Povey aid.
“We’re encouraging Aussies to keep an eye in the sky for what could be Shazza’s mate Bazza flying to Australia soon,”
In order to be ready to purchase a flight as soon as it goes on sale, customers are advised to download the Fly Bonza app.
