Qatar Airways has unveiled a striking new Formula 1–themed livery on a Boeing 777-300ER, rounding off an unforgettable Qatar Airways Qatar Grand Prix weekend at Lusail with a bold fusion of aviation, motorsport and contemporary art. The special aircraft, registered A7‑BEG, will spend this winter flying to major global gateways including London, Melbourne, New York and Tokyo, turning regular scheduled flights into moving billboards for the airline’s F1 partnership.
Flypast, Starlink, and a record-breaking moment
Ahead of the Qatar Grand Prix Sprint race, thousands of fans at Lusail International Circuit watched a low flypast by the F1‑liveried 777, while selected media and guests viewed the spectacle from inside the aircraft. Equipped with Starlink high‑speed “gate‑to‑gate” Wi‑Fi, the flight enabled live broadcast and real‑time social content from the sky, helping make the flypast the single most‑tracked flight in the world on Flightradar24 over a full 24‑hour period.
Swizz Beatz design and star-studded launch
The livery itself was created by Grammy‑winning artist and producer Swizz Beatz, blending Qatar Airways’ maroon identity with bold black and white F1 graphics for a dynamic, motorsport‑inspired look. The official unveiling at the Qatar Airways hangar featured a playful entrance by Kevin Hart posing as an F1 driver doing celebratory “doughnuts”, and drew a celebrity crowd including David Beckham, Jessica Alba, Rio Ferdinand, Rosie Huntington‑Whiteley, Novak Djokovic and Swizz Beatz.
“One of the most iconic liveries in global aviation”
Qatar Airways Group CEO Engr. Badr Mohammed Al‑Meer said the project exemplifies how the airline is bringing together leading names in sport and the arts to create a community experience that transcends the racetrack. He noted that the reaction from aviation enthusiasts, F1 fans and creatives worldwide confirms the design’s impact and predicted the Formula 1 livery will be remembered as one of the most iconic in modern aviation.
Where to spot the F1 777 next
The carrier, named World’s Best Airline by Skytrax for a record ninth time in 2025, will roster the special‑liveried 777 on high‑profile routes through the winter season, including Doha–London Heathrow, Doha–Melbourne, Doha–New York JFK and planned appearances in Tokyo. AvGeeks and F1 fans can track the jet in real time via its registration A7‑BEG, watching as the livery carries Qatar Airways’ F1 story to major aviation hubs around the globe.
