Last Thursday, 11 July, Royal Caribbean International’s Utopia of the Seas entered Port Canaveral (Orlando), Florida. This ultimate short getaway is set to infuse every day of the week with weekend energy when it officially debuts on Friday, July 19. The ship will offer 3-night weekend and 4-night weekday getaways to Royal Caribbean’s award-winning private island, Perfect Day at CocoCay, and Nassau in The Bahamas.
The arrival of Utopia of the Seas marks a new era in short getaways. Over 2,000 crew members celebrated the ship’s arrival, revelling in the vibrant Caribbean pool deck and thrilling features, from the longest dry slide at sea – The Ultimate Abyss – to the signature FlowRider surf simulator.
The upcoming celebration promises to be a spectacle featuring Utopia’s newly revealed godmother, GRAMMY-winning artist and songwriter Meghan Trainor. She will take centre stage to christen the new vacation experience and perform a series of hits before the ship begins sailing its 3-night weekend and 4-night weekday vacations.
Utopia of the Seas brings unmatched weekend energy to every day of the week, offering many ways to celebrate any occasion or enjoy a getaway. On deck are more than 40 ways to dine, drink, and party, including a lineup of parties exclusive to Utopia, two casinos, and a new Caribbean tiki bar – The Pesky Parrot.
The ship also introduces Royal Railway – Utopia Station, a first-of-its-kind immersive train car dining experience. With more pools than days to count, a variety of thrills and ways to relax, and show-stopping entertainment across air, ice, water, and stage, there’s something for everyone on board.
The ship also offers access to Perfect Day at CocoCay, Royal Caribbean’s award-winning private island, ensuring an unforgettable vacation experience. As Marialuisa Iaccarino, Head of Shore Excursions at MSC Cruises, said, “Guests will benefit from a seamless experience between the butlers’ service onboard and the excursion experts ashore as well as having the opportunity to relax and fully immerse themselves into each destination’s culture, cuisine, and traditions.”
Whether seeking an action-packed adventure or a relaxing retreat, Utopia of the Seas promises to deliver an unmatched short getaway experience. So, set sail on the ultimate vacation experience with Royal Caribbean’s Utopia of the Seas.
