This new video is part of the ‘Come and say G’day’ campaign, which promotes Australia through a partnership between Tourism Australia and Qantas.
The new ad, which premiered last Wednesday and stars Ruby the Roo, Tourism Australia’s CGI-animated souvenir kangaroo, shows flying with Qantas and the many attractions that draw visitors to Australia.
According to Qantas Group Chief Marketing Officer Petra Perry, the partnership highlights the ease with which Qantas flights may be booked and encourages international tourists to explore regional centres in addition to Australia’s big gateway cities.
“It’s with great pleasure that we announce Qantas as the official airline partner of Tourism Australia’s “Come and Say G’Day” campaign,” Perry remarked.
“Qantas is delighted to be the airline partner for Tourism Australia’s come and say hello campaign,” said Perry.
“In addition to increasing inbound tourism, the campaign raises awareness that overseas travellers can simply travel directly to Australia and discover over 65 attractions around the country when they fly with Qantas.”
The campaign encourages visitors to see Australia’s big cities, rural areas, and popular tourist destinations.
The video will be presented as part of Qantas’ in-flight entertainment worldwide, thanks to a partnership between Tourism Australia and Qantas in 10 international markets. These markets include the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, Italy, Japan, South Korea, and New Zealand.
After its successful debut in October, this is the second edition of the “Come and Say G’day” campaign.
