Qantas will release tens of thousands of more international reward tickets on Friday, 24 February, at 11 a.m., giving frequent flyers more opportunities to travel internationally using Qantas Points.
The release of new Classic Flight Reward seats will be made possible by Qantas’ extending its commitment to provide 50 percent more reward seats on international flights through 31 December 2023 – an additional six months.
The additional reward seats will be available in all cabins, including Business and First, on flights to more than 30 international destinations. London, Singapore, Bali, Tokyo, and Los Angeles are the most frequently booked international destinations using points.
Since October 2021, Qantas has made 50 percent more incentive tickets accessible, and a record number of customers have travelled using their points. One frequent flyer out of every eleven carried by Qantas flew on a reward seat.
In the past year, Qantas has also issued thousands of Points Planes on which every seat may be booked as a Classic Flight Reward.
Olivia Wirth, CEO of Qantas Loyalty, said that award tickets on overseas flights are one of the most popular ways to redeem Qantas Points.
“Record numbers of our frequent flyers have been redeeming their points for reward seats, and demand for seats on international flights is particularly high,” said Ms Wirth.
We are releasing tens of thousands of more Classic Flight Reward seats to international destinations to make it easier for our members to redeem their points on their next overseas trip.
More than 5 million reward seats are available for booking on Qantas and Jetstar’s international and domestic networks over the next year. “The number of points required to book reward seats hasn’t increased in years, and we’ve consistently increased the number of ways our members can increase their points balance, so these seats represent a great value.”
Also, frequent flyers can use their points to book reward tickets on Qantas’ network of more than 45 partner airlines to more than 1,200 global destinations.
