Riverside Luxury Cruises vessel on the Rhine – Photo Riverside Luxury Cruises
The new river cruise operator, Riverside Luxury Cruises, owned by the German hotelier Seaside Collection, has added four more vessels to its fleet.
Crystal Cruises designed and operated Bach, Ravel, Mahler, and Debussy before the cruise line went into insolvency. The ships’ names will now include the ‘Riverside’ prefix, and their inclusion in the fleet will allow Riverside Luxury Cruises to expand its routes to the Rhine, Rhône, and Saône rivers.
Danube River trips aboard the Riverside Mozart will debut for Riverside Luxury Cruises in April 2023. In 2023, the Riverside Ravel will sail Rhone and Saône river itineraries, while the Riverside Debussy will sail the Rhine. Launch dates for the Riverside Bach and Riverside Mahler itineraries have been set for 2024 and will be announced later this year.
Room service will be available around the clock from the ships’ butlers, and each vessel will have its team of sommeliers and bartenders. Guests will be encouraged to go out and explore the river and surrounding area through various on- and off-ship wellness activities.
Gregor Gerlach, the man behind Riverside Luxury Cruises, is thrilled at the addition of these storied ships.
“This acquisition enables us to increase the number of itineraries we provide while exhibiting a level of luxury, spaciousness, and personalised service that is unmatched by any other river cruise company,” Gerlach added.
