Nestled on the Burleigh Heads beachfront, LiTO is set to become the Gold Coast’s newest dining sensation, blending the laidback rhythms of Italian summers with a modern Australian coastal charm. Located on the ground floor of Mondrian Gold Coast, this all-day dining haven is as much a neighbourhood hub as it is a culinary retreat, welcoming guests from morning coffee to late-night conversation.
A Celebration of Connection and Seasonality
Head Chef Andrea Morigi, an Italian-born culinary talent previously behind Merivale venues Uccello and Jimmy’s Falafels, leads the kitchen with a philosophy of simple, generous, and heartfelt flavours. LiTO’s menu brings a produce-forward approach to Italian dining, merging classic traditions with fresh, locally sourced ingredients.
“In Italy, food is never rushed—it’s meant to be savoured,” says Andrea. “At LiTO, we want guests to settle in without watching the clock, whether for a long lunch, slow dinner, or casual aperitivo by the sea.”
A Taste of Italy, Elevated for the Gold Coast
From wood-fired breads and hand-rolled pasta to slow-cooked porchetta, lobster bucatini, and tableside tiramisu, every dish embraces authentic, soulful cooking with a distinctly coastal flair.
Mornings bring Allpress coffee alongside Italian-inspired breakfast plates, featuring Calabrian poached eggs, wood-fired calzones, and sourdough toasties. Meanwhile, aperitivo hour is pure indulgence, with a seasonally curated wine list showcasing both Australian and Italian producers, complemented by spritzes, classic cocktails, and signature drinks.
A Space Designed for Atmosphere
Designed by Sydney-based Alexander &CO., LiTO’s interiors capture Mediterranean warmth with a relaxed Australian twist. Guests can enjoy indoor dining, alfresco tables, and a semi-private chef’s table beside the open wood-fired kitchen, making it perfect for intimate dinners or lively gatherings.
Experience LiTO at Mondrian Gold Coast
