Virgin Voyages’ Resilient Lady Makes Her Grand Entrance in Sydney

The Resilient Lady of Virgin Voyages arrived in Sydney Harbour, where Sir Richard Branson greeted it.

According to a news announcement, the Virgin Group founder came upon the Resilient Lady while cruising aboard a traditional wooden speedboat.

Sir Richard Branson then climbed the Sydney Harbour Bridge as part of Virgin Voyages’ exclusive takeover of the historic Bridge Climb event. He greeted the Resilient Lady when it entered the Overseas Passenger Terminal for the first time.

Virgin Voyages is the Virgin Group’s first travel brand to enter the Australian market since Virgin Australia (formerly Virgin Blue) started in 2000.

The Resilient Lady will spend two nights in Sydney before sailing to Melbourne, its new summer homeport. The ship will make its Australian MerMaiden journey to Tasmania on 11 December, calling in Burnie and Hobart.
