The Italian Sea Group and Giorgio Armani have partnered to design a sleek new superyacht that will debut in early 2024 in response to the rising demand in the luxury superyacht segment.
On 11 February, at the shipyard’s headquarters in Marina di Carrara, Italy, the 72-meter Admiral yacht was unveiled to the public. This yacht is the first of two to be created from the ground up by acclaimed Italian designer Giorgio Armani.
Giorgio Armani and his team developed the project in 2020 with the Admiral style centre, a trademark of The Italian Sea Group.

Together, the teams claim to have “interpreted and merged the Essence of the two businesses” to produce an “avant-garde” vessel that draws from both the nautical and fashion industries for its distinctive design.
The interiors are Armani’s signature minimalist style, but the exterior design has a “clear architectural influence,” with geometric forms and curves harmonised for visual impact.
The Armani/Casa interiors are known for using luxurious materials, meticulous craftsmanship, and a spectrum of subtle and bold colours.
“Giorgio Armani is synonymous with ageless elegance and refinement, and his stylistic vision has increased our stylistic sensitivity,” says Giovanni Costantino, The Italian Sea Group’s founder and CEO.
“This new boat is predicted to be positioned as a style benchmark, especially considering the countless comments and regards from different industry leaders. This, therefore, validates our business strategy, which tries to personalise every element to make each of our works completely unique.”
“The sea and design are two of my greatest passions,” says Giorgio Armani, chairman and CEO of the Armani Group. “With this new collaboration, I’ve expanded my vision of furniture and décor to the nautical realm, where aesthetics and functionality come together in a natural and beautiful approach, much like fashion.” This exciting project has allowed me to construct bespoke rooms with Armani/Casa, similar to made-to-measure clothing, with the same skill devoted to material selection, details, and production.”
