Ponant has revealed its 2024 Kimberley season, during which the brand-new expedition ship Le Jacques Cartier will make her Australian premiere alongside the already-established Le Laperouse.
Beginning in April 2024, a total of 22 departures will make the journey from Broome to Darwin, and it will feature in-depth tours through the rugged Kimberley terrain. The Jacques-Cartier, delivered in the middle of 2020, is the newest of Ponant’s six-ship EXPLORER series.
A total of 92 staterooms and suites can be found on both vessels, and each one features a balcony or terrace. The season’s first cruise will be Jacques-Cartier’s inaugural visit to Australia, and it will follow the famous 10-night ‘Australia’s Iconic Kimberley’ itinerary.
Some of the highlights of the cruise include a trip to the crocodile-infested Hunter River, a Zodiac tour of the King George River, a visit to Western Australia’s majestic waterfall (Twin Falls), and a stop at Montgomery Reef, located at the southern tip of Camden Sound.
Travellers are encouraged to start getting ready immediately, as discounts of up to 30 percent are available for early bookings. Registration is now open for Ponant’s ‘Explore to Inspire’ roadshow series events, which will be held next month in cities around Australia.
