If luxury travel is about discovery, Silversea’s newly unveiled 2028–2029 Voyage Collection makes a compelling case for rediscovering the world—with a sense of wonder firmly intact. Aptly titled “Let the World Surprise You,” this expansive program invites travellers to step beyond the expected and into journeys shaped by rare access, cultural depth and extraordinary design.
Spanning 278 voyages across 497 destinations in 71 countries, the collection is Silversea’s most ambitious to date. Yet what truly sets it apart is not just its scale—but its intent: to create moments that feel personal, immersive and, above all, surprising.’
A Mediterranean like never before
Silversea is elevating its Mediterranean offering with its most extensive expedition program in the region. Aboard Silver Wind, guests can explore lesser-visited shores—from the volcanic beauty of Milos and Folegandros to North Africa’s coastal gems like Algiers and Bejaia, and even sail inland along the Guadalquivir River to Seville.
For those drawn to grand journeys, the 60-day Grand Mediterranean Voyage aboard Silver Dawn offers a deeper, more unhurried exploration. With over 40 destinations across 13 countries, it blends icons like Istanbul and Amalfi with hidden gems such as Menton and Naxos—alongside exclusive, once-in-a-lifetime experiences curated specifically for guests.
Antarctica, reimagined from the start
Silversea’s enhanced Antarctica Fly Cruise program transforms not just the destination, but the journey itself. Guests begin in Patagonia with a stay at The Cormorant at 55 South—the southernmost hotel on Earth—before boarding a private charter flight directly into Antarctica.
By bypassing the Drake Passage, travellers arrive faster and in greater comfort, stepping straight into the heart of the White Continent. With 41 voyages across three expedition ships, including festive departures over Christmas and New Year, Antarctica becomes more accessible without losing its sense of awe.
Timing travel to perfection

One of the collection’s most compelling elements is its alignment with the world’s most captivating cultural moments. These are not just cruises—they are front-row seats to global experiences.
Highlights include:
- The Monaco Grand Prix, viewed from the harbour aboard Silver Ray.
- Japan’s iconic matsuri festivals, from Kyoto’s Gion Matsuri to Aomori’s Nebuta celebrations.
- Scandinavia’s midsummer festivities under the midnight sun.
- Europe’s Atlantic harvest season, brought to life through wine-focused S.A.L.T. experiences.
With extended stays, late departures and more than 50 overnight calls, guests are given the luxury of time—arguably the rarest indulgence of all.
Northern Europe and beyond
The season also marks Silver Nova’s inaugural voyages in Northern Europe, unlocking Norway’s dramatic fjords and Baltic capitals alongside Silver Spirit. Meanwhile, Silver Spirit will make its debut in Canada and New England, offering longer stays in culturally rich cities like Quebec, Halifax and Boston.
Across the fleet, Silversea continues to prioritise smaller ports and boutique harbours—places like Saint-Tropez and Monopoli—where larger ships simply cannot go, placing guests closer to the heart of each destination.
A journey shaped by taste and connection
At the centre of the experience is Silversea’s S.A.L.T. (Sea And Land Taste) program, which connects guests to destinations through food, culture and storytelling. From hands-on culinary experiences to intimate shore excursions, each journey becomes a sensory exploration.
Complementing this are curated land programs—from Finland’s sauna culture to private island stays in the Seychelles—designed to extend the journey seamlessly beyond the ship.
The luxury of surprise
In a world where travel is often meticulously planned, Silversea reminds us that the most memorable moments are often the unexpected ones. Whether it is a hidden harbour, a cultural celebration or a quiet, unplanned connection to a place, this collection is built around the idea that true luxury lies in discovery.
Because sometimes, the greatest journeys are the ones that still have the power to surprise you.
