Scenic has unveiled its most ambitious land-and-sea offering yet: the 2028–29 Discovery Yacht collection, anchored by the inaugural season of Scenic Ikon. Joining Scenic Eclipse and Scenic Eclipse II, Ikon expands the Discovery Yacht fleet to three ships and unlocks fresh itineraries across the Eastern Mediterranean, Adriatic, Aegean, Atlantic and West Africa—delivering new ports, deeper immersion and elevated inclusions for discerning travellers.
For luxury voyagers seeking intimate ships and deeply curated experiences, the season is notable for first-time calls to storied islands and cities: Naxos, Milos, Paros, Hydra, Kotor, Zadar and Istanbul. One standout is an overnight call in Egypt that includes a visit to the Great Pyramids of Giza—an extraordinary after-dark perspective on one of the world’s most iconic landmarks.
Ikon carries up to 270 guests in 135 all-verandah suites spread across five decks, making her slightly larger than her fleetmates while preserving the small-ship sense of privacy and service that defines Scenic Discovery Yachts. Guests will find Scenic’s all-inclusive philosophy dialled up: private guided excursions, chauffeur transfers, helicopter experiences and other elevated suite inclusions designed to simplify travel while amplifying access and moments that matter.
Beyond sea days, Scenic has significantly expanded handcrafted land journeys across Italy, Malta, Turkey and Greece. These pre- and post-cruise extensions are specifically designed to link seamlessly with Discovery Yacht voyages, letting guests stitch coastlines, cities and inland regions into a single continuous journey without the usual transfer headaches. As Angus Crichton, Scenic’s director of land product, explains, these journeys were designed to “align pre- or post- a Scenic Discovery Yachts voyage,” delivering a seamless curated experience from first step to last.

Early-booking incentives include a super early bird offer for departures from April 2027 through April 2029—complimentary helicopter flightseeing among the highlighted perks—underscoring Scenic’s commitment to once-in-a-lifetime vantage points and unforgettable arrival moments.
Why this matters for luxury travellers
- New, less-travelled ports deepen cultural access and private moments.
- Small-ship scale with larger-suite comfort balances intimacy and space.
- Elevated inclusions (helicopter, private guides, chauffeurs) reduce friction and increase exclusivity.
- Seamless land-and-sea itineraries let you experience regions more holistically.
If you want an itinerary that blends secluded islands, UNESCO cities and exclusive arrival experiences—Scenic’s 2028–29 Discovery Yachts season is tailored to discerning travellers who value privacy, convenience and richly connected journeys.
