After a long‑awaited pause, Aman Sveti Stefan is set to reopen for the 2026 summer season, restoring one of the Adriatic’s most emblematic luxury retreats to discerning travellers’ wish lists. From 22 May 2026, mainland retreat Villa Miločer and the adjacent Aman Spa, Queen’s Beach and King’s Beach will welcome guests, followed by the reopening of the storied island of Sveti Stefan on 1 July 2026.

Set on Montenegro’s dramatic Adriatic shore, a short drive from Budva Old Town and within easy reach of the Bay of Kotor and its UNESCO‑listed heritage, the resort pairs Aman’s trademark low‑key luxury with access to some of Europe’s most spectacular coastal scenery. Travellers can explore the resort and make reservations via the official site: Aman Sveti Stefan.
Villa Miločer and the island: two ways to stay

Framed by olive groves and pine forests, Villa Miločer was once the summer residence of Queen Marija Karađorđević and today offers just eight suites, a light‑filled lounge and a library, creating the feel of a private seaside residence. A wisteria‑draped terrace leads from the dining room directly towards the shore, setting the stage for long, languid meals overlooking the Adriatic.

Beyond the mainland, the fortified island village of Sveti Stefan sits at the end of a narrow isthmus, its cobbled lanes, stone cottages and church towers rising above the sea. Lovingly restored using local stone, hand‑rendered stucco and oak, the island’s rooms and suites preserve the ambience of a centuries‑old fishing village while adding contemporary comfort, sea views and Aman’s hallmark sense of privacy. Throughout the season, Aman will also offer guided island tours for outside visitors, giving non‑residents a chance to experience one of the Adriatic’s most photographed landmarks.
Wellness at Queen’s Beach: Aman Spa and fitness

Anchoring the resort’s wellness offering, the standalone Aman Spa nestles in a private bay at Queen’s Beach, just moments from Villa Miločer and overlooking an emerald‑framed curve of sand. Spanning nearly 2,500 square metres, the spa features four double treatment rooms with private changing spaces and bathrooms, plus hydrotherapy facilities including steam rooms, saunas and cold‑plunge pools.
Treatments draw on Aman Skincare and locally inspired ingredients such as wild Montenegrin herbs and flowers, designed to restore balance to mind, body and spirit. For more active pursuits, a 140m² fitness centre with Technogym cardio and weights sits alongside a 24‑metre heated pool that flows from indoors to outdoors, making it easy to move between laps, treatments and time on the sand.
Three beaches and easy access to Montenegro’s wild side

Guests of Aman Sveti Stefan enjoy access to a trio of beaches along this prized stretch of shoreline.
- Queen’s Beach remains fully private for Aman guests, a scalloped cove often described as one of Montenegro’s most enchanting coastal settings.
- Beneath Villa Miločer, King’s Beach offers a picturesque arc of pink‑tinted sand between the villa and the island, serviced by Aman during the summer season.
- Sveti Stefan Beach curves away on either side of the isthmus, lined with loungers and open to both resort guests and non‑residents, ideal for people‑watching with the island as centrepiece.
Beyond the resort, this corner of Montenegro lends itself to day trips: wandering the medieval lanes of Budva Old Town, cruising the Bay of Kotor, or heading inland to Lake Skadar, the Balkans’ largest lake and a haven for birdlife, monasteries and mountain‑backed viewpoints.
Dining by the Adriatic: Arva, Piazza and Cliff Bar

Culinary experiences at Aman Sveti Stefan focus on seasonality, locality and simplicity, reflecting both Montenegrin and wider Adriatic traditions.
- Arva, Aman’s Italian dining concept, showcases cucina del raccolto – vibrant, produce‑driven dishes built around regional ingredients and designed for sharing.
- In the heart of the island village, Piazza serves as a relaxed central square, ideal for light meals and coffees throughout the day.
- Perched high above the water, Cliff Bar offers light bites and cocktails framed by uninterrupted sea views and dramatic sunsets, making it one of the coast’s most atmospheric spots for an aperitivo.
