Holland America Line’s 2027–2028 Australia, New Zealand and South Pacific season promises an extraordinary journey of deep exploration, featuring longer cruises, new overnight stays, and over 100 wildlife and nature tours across some of the region’s most breathtaking destinations.
This season, sailing from September 2027 through March 2028, three Holland America Line ships will offer immersive itineraries ranging from 14 to 35 days, showcasing wonders from the Great Barrier Reef to Fiji and historic sites like New Zealand’s Bay of Islands.
A major highlight is the inclusion of new overnight stays in Melbourne, Cairns, and Lautoka, giving guests extra time to experience local culture, cuisine, and natural beauty at a relaxed pace.
Melbourne invites visitors to indulge in its vibrant arts scene and chic cafés, Cairns offers extended opportunities for snorkelling among the colourful coral of the Great Barrier Reef and scenic railway rides through lush rainforests, while Lautoka, Fiji, showcases traditional kava ceremonies and healing mud spa experiences deeply rooted in island culture.
Legendary Voyages stand out this season by offering extended journeys for those seeking in-depth exploration.
For example, the 26-Day Australia, Coral Sea & Fiji Legendary Voyage sails from Sydney to Auckland, visiting 14 ports including Vanuatu, Tonga and Fiji, with ample chances to snorkel coral reefs, explore island villages, and unwind on pristine beaches. Other notable itineraries include a 35-day Hawaii, Tahiti & Marquesas voyage and shorter 14 to 16-day cruises covering Australia and New Zealand’s spectacular coastlines and UNESCO World Heritage sites.
For nature lovers, more than 100 curated tours are available, ranging from glowworm grotto explorations and wildlife encounters like spotting fairy penguins in their natural habitats to farm visits and rainforest excursions. The chance to see 13 UNESCO World Heritage sites—including the Gondwana Rainforests and Sydney Opera House—adds extraordinary cultural depth to these cruises.
Onboard, the Destination Dining program enhances the immersive experience by bringing authentic regional flavours to the table. Guests can enjoy Australian meat pies, New Zealand’s green-lipped mussels, tropical fruits, and fresh South Pacific mahi-mahi, making every meal a taste journey through the region.
Holland America Line’s Have It All premium package sweetens early bookings by bundling shore excursions, specialty dining, beverage packages, and high-speed Wi-Fi, along with exclusive perks for Mariner Society loyalty members, including up to USD 400 onboard credit for bookings made by February 16, 2026.
This 2027–2028 season offers Australian and international travellers an unmissable chance to deeply explore the wonders of Australia, New Zealand, and the South Pacific with extended stays, enriching experiences, and expertly curated tours, all within the comfort of Holland America Line’s elegant ships.
