Virgin Australia Drops A Sale With Fares From $49

Virgin Australia has released a new round of extremely low-cost fares, with domestic flights starting at $49 one way, just in time for summer.

The airline announced that the discounted domestic and international flights would be available until midnight Monday, September 5, or until they were sold out.

The sale fares, however, can only be booked on specific dates and destinations between January 17, 2023, and June 24, 2023.

“We are incredibly focused on providing excellent value airfares to Australians, and we’re pleased to have launched over 1 million sale fares to popular destinations such as Bali, Fiji, and the Gold Coast from as little as $49, which we know will be welcome news for travellers looking to plan a summer holiday,” a Virgin Australia Group spokesperson said.

“Our Bring on Summer discount rates are likely to sell rapidly, especially considering the high demand for returning travellers booking tickets to fantastic destinations in Australia and internationally.”

Sydney residents planning a trip to the popular coastal destination of Byron Bay should spend $49 one way.

It’s $69 if you want to go to the Sunshine Coast, and it’s the same if you want to go to the Gold Coast.

A trip to Hamilton Island from Melbourne costs $135, whereas a trip from Brisbane costs $95 per person.

On the international front, Australians may fly to Bali, Vanuatu, Fiji, and Samoa for $469, $475, $489, and $559, depending on the city from which they depart.

All sale fares include Velocity Frequent Flyer points and earn status credits. Tickets are limited and will be unavailable if sold before the sale ends.
