Singapore Airlines (SIA) is set to elevate the passenger experience at its main hub with a S$45 million investment to transform its SilverKris and KrisFlyer Gold lounges at Changi Airport Terminal 2. The ambitious renovation project, which commenced on 15 April 2025, will unfold in phases over the next two years, with completion expected by mid-2027.
The redesigned lounges will offer a 50% increase in space and seating capacity, enhanced facilities, and an upgraded selection of food and beverage options. Inspired by the flagship SilverKris lounges at Terminal 3, these enhancements aim to deliver an unparalleled level of hospitality to discerning travellers.
First Class SilverKris Lounge:
For First Class passengers, the new lounge promises an elevated experience with higher ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows, and an expanded bar featuring morning barista services. Guests can enjoy live cooking stations serving a variety of Singaporean, Asian, and Western cuisine, alongside an enhanced buffet mirroring the Terminal 3 lounge offerings.

Business Class SilverKris Lounge:
The Business Class lounge will grow by 30%, offering more space and flexibility. Highlights include a quiet rest area with recliners, a redesigned living room featuring wingback chairs and productivity pods, and a full-service bar serving barista-made coffee and signature cocktails.
KrisFlyer Gold Lounge:
The KrisFlyer Gold Lounge will double in capacity, providing versatile seating options, including armchairs, workstations, and dining seats. Travellers will appreciate the addition of in-lounge restrooms and shower suites, ideal for freshening up before flights.
Mr Yeoh Phee Teik, Senior Vice President Customer Experience at SIA, remarked, “This significant investment underscores Singapore Airlines’ unwavering commitment to elevating the end-to-end travel experience for our customers. Building on the success of our Terminal 3 lounges, we are extending our signature hospitality and thoughtfully curated offerings to Terminal 2.”

Construction will be carefully phased to minimise disruptions. The First Class SilverKris Lounge is set to be completed by late 2025, followed by the Business Class lounge in the fourth quarter of 2025 and the KrisFlyer Gold Lounge in the first half of 2026.
This redevelopment project reaffirms SIA’s dedication to providing a world-class customer experience, ensuring that its lounges remain an integral part of the airline’s premium journey. Travellers through Changi Terminal 2 are in for an exciting transformation!
