Seabourn, the epitome of ultra-luxury cruising, is thrilled to announce the exclusive commencement of its grand 2024 Alaska season. On 10 May 2024, the Seabourn Odyssey commenced its final voyages with the cruise line, embarking from Vancouver and beginning an enriching journey through Alaska’s most cherished destinations and hidden gems within the Inside Passage. This is a season not to be missed, offering guests a unique opportunity to experience the splendour aboard this iconic vessel before it’s too late.
The Seabourn Odyssey will navigate 12 seven-day voyages between May and August 2024, alternating northbound and southbound routes between Vancouver and Juneau. Each itinerary is meticulously designed to showcase a variety of sites, scenes, and adventures catering to diverse interests. Guests also have the option to combine two voyages for an extended 14-day round-trip journey from Vancouver. Additionally, the ship will present two 10-day Alaska Fjord Odyssey itineraries and an 11-day Inside Passage & Alaska Fjords voyage, all commencing from Vancouver.
Natalya Leahy, president of Seabourn, invites guests, stating, “As we continue our Alaskan adventures, we bid farewell to the Seabourn Odyssey’s storied journeys to ‘the Great Land.’ We encourage our guests to join us for one final expedition before she retires from our fleet.” She echoes the sentiments of Alaska Captain Tim Roberts: “You have not truly seen Alaska until you have sailed with Seabourn.”
The 2024 season promises an array of immersive experiences through the Ventures by Seabourn programme. Guests can partake in programmes with aan expert expedition team can lead guests on guided kayak and zodiac tours that delve deep into Alaska’s natural wonders before crossing the Pacific to Japan,
The season includes seven-day itineraries featuring pure cruising through breathtaking locales like Seymour Narrows and Glacier Bay, complemented by visits to culturally rich towns. The 10-day Alaska Fjords Odyssey offers an extensive exploration of Alaska’s fjords. At the same time, the 11-day Voyage provides an intimate encounter with Wrangell and the Tongass National Rain Forest, Alert Bay in British Columbia, and more.
The ship’s expedition elite leads Ventures by Seabourn excursions, a world-class team of naturalists, science, wildlife and historical experts. These experts regularly interact with guests throughout each sailing, sharing insights and in-depth knowledge on the respective regions’ history, ecology, and culture. Their expertise ensures that every guest has a truly immersive and educational experience.
22-day Farewell Voyage
Seabourn has also planned special activities and entertainment to commemorate Seabourn Odyssey’s 22-day Farewell Voyage, departing September 2, 2024, from Seattle, Wash., to Yokohama, Japan. The one-of-a-kind Voyage will feature several memorable tributes to Seabourn Odyssey’s most significant moments, including appearances from the original team and performing cast, incredible local artists, and unique gifts and memories to be made with their Seabourn family. The ship will traverse the glacial scenery of Alaska’s southern reaches, visit the wildlife havens of Kodiak Island and Dutch Harbor, and explore the cultural enclaves of Japan’s Hokkaido Island to revel in the first turn of fall foliage.
