Riyadh Air, Saudi Arabia’s new world-class airline, has made a grand entrance into the world of fashion. In collaboration with renowned Saudi fashion designer Ashi, founder of Parisian couture house ASHI Studio, Riyadh Air unveiled its first-ever fashion collection during the prestigious Haute Couture Week in Paris.
A Runway Debut
The airline took to the runway in style, showcasing its stunning new lifestyle collection for its frontline team members. The exclusive fashion line, inspired by the 1950s ‘golden age’ of aviation, is a blend of timeless elegance and modern styling. It features dozens of male and female looks, 15 of which were revealed during the fashion week. The collection includes cashmere outerwear, fine wool dresses and trousers, custom leather footwear, amethyst earrings, and iconic pillbox hats.
A Shared Vision for Sustainability
The reveal evening was attended by distinguished guests, including senior stakeholders, diplomats, and celebrities. During the event, Riyadh Air and Lucid, maker of the world’s most advanced electric vehicles, reaffirmed their shared commitment to sustainable transport and eco-friendly practices. The two companies have an innovative partnership with a shared vision for the future of sustainable transportation.
A Nod to Saudi Heritage
For the new fashion line, Ashi introduced completely new color tones, including the chic and elegant Electric Amethyst for womenswear, and Dark Amethyst for menswear. These unique amethyst shades pay homage to Saudi Arabia’s stunning lavender fields and are rooted within Riyadh Air’s primary color. The full collection is scheduled for launch early next year.
A First-of-its-Kind Showcase
Ten womenswear looks and five menswear looks were unveiled during the first-of-its-kind Haute Couture Week showcase. The fashion collection, to be worn by Riyadh Air cabin crew, pilots, concierges, and airport agents, can be changed seasonally, keeping the looks fresh all year round.
A Testament to Attention to Detail
Ashi cleverly incorporated distinctive Riyadh Air elements within the concepts, such as the iconic canopy twist found in the Riyadh Air brand. The coats and jackets worn at the Paris launch also include the same modern lines as seen on the Riyadh Air logo.
