The new superyacht Emerald Sakara, operated by Emerald Cruises, is nearly ready for sea trials.
The finishing touches on the ship’s interior are expected to be made in time for the 5th August sailing of the first guests on the 8-day “Ionian Sea Adventure” itinerary from Civitavecchia (Rome) to Piraeus (Athens).
The second yacht in Emerald’s fleet, this ultra-luxury vessel, was custom-built by the Halong Shipbuilding Company in Vietnam. It has a maximum capacity of 100 passengers (plus 64 crew), seven decks, and 50 staterooms, of which 88% have a step-out balcony or terrace.
Like her identical sistership Emerald Azzurra launched in March 2022, Emerald Sakara will offer all-inclusive cruise packages.
In her maiden voyage after her launch in August 2023, Sakara will cruise the Mediterranean Sea, visiting ports along the coasts of the Aegean Sea in Greece and Turkey and the Adriatic Sea.
Emerald Sakara will be stationed in Central America and the Caribbean during the northern winter of 2023–2024.
On 17th November 2023, the luxury yacht is expected to sail on its first trip with the “Eastern Caribbean and Grenadines” itinerary. On 2nd December, in San Juan, Puerto Rico, the yacht will be officially christened by godmother Kelly Craighead, President and CEO of CLIA (Cruise Lines International Association).
