Delta secured first place in five categories, celebrating the best airline and airport experiences across the globe. This recognition highlights Delta’s strong reputation for consistency, a robust loyalty program, and exceptional customer service.
Best U.S. Airline
Delta was awarded the prestigious title of Best U.S. Airline, a testament to its unwavering commitment to delivering elevated travel experiences. Allison Ausband, E.V.P. and Chief Customer Experience Officer expressed pride in the achievement: “We continue to make significant investments throughout every point in our customers’ travel journey to deliver the elevated experiences they want and deserve. These recognitions are a testament to each of those efforts and to the Delta people who go above and beyond in bringing these experiences and innovations to life.”
Best Domestic Business Class
Delta’s premium travel experience, Delta One, earned the top spot for Best Domestic Business Class. Passengers flying Delta One enjoy access to new Delta One lounges, Missoni amenity kits with Grown Alchemist products, and 180-degree flatbed seats. The luxurious details of the Delta One cabin, from plush bedding to a seasonally inspired onboard menu, elevate the travel journey from start to finish.
Best U.S. Airline Lounge: JFK Delta One Lounge
The JFK Delta One Lounge was recognised as the Best U.S. Airline Lounge. This first-of-its-kind lounge, dedicated to Delta One passengers, offers an expansive 39,707-square-foot space with a year-round terrace, nine relaxation pods, eight shower suites, and a full-service brasserie. The lounge provides an exclusive and elevated experience, allowing Delta One ticketholders to curate their travel day with fine dining, spa-like wellness treatments, and valet services.
Best Loyalty Program
Delta’s SkyMiles program was named the Best Loyalty Program. The complimentary program offers members free Wi-Fi on most domestic flights, miles without expiration dates, and the ability to earn miles with more than 20 partners. In 2024, Delta simplified its SkyMiles Program and introduced new ways for customers to earn toward Status, enhancing the overall travel experience.
Best Airline App
The Fly Delta app was awarded Best Airline App for its user-friendly features. The app allows passengers to upgrade seats, receive gate and flight updates, track bags, navigate airports, locate Sky Club lounges, and more. A comprehensive update in May introduced new features, including an all-new Help Centre view and connectivity to the Virtual Assistant.
Additional Recognitions
Delta’s investments in innovation and infrastructure were also acknowledged. The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) received the Innovation of the Year award for its facial recognition technology, which Delta leverages through Delta Digital ID. This technology, available at six of Delta’s hubs, provides a touchless ID lane for TSA PreCheck® customers, enhancing the security experience.
With its recent $8 billion overhaul, LaGuardia Airport was named Best U.S. Airport. Delta’s $4 billion investment transformed Terminal C into a state-of-the-art facility featuring 37 gates across four concourses.
