Carnival Cruise Line’s newest ship, Carnival Jubilee, has successfully completed its first full round of sea trials. Thus, she is one step closer to her momentous debut in Galveston, Texas, on 29 December.
Carnival Jubilee’s sea testing was completed successfully on 14 November. An entire staff of commanders, technicians, and engineers on board who extensively checked the ship’s technical, mechanical, and navigational systems led the trials.
“Our all-new Carnival Jubilee performed brilliantly in every test we put her through this week.” “We’ll be cruising soon, and our crew is ready to welcome our guests from Galveston aboard this beautiful new ship,” Captain Andrea Catalani said.
Carnival Jubilee is the first Carnival ship to be built in Germany. On 4 December, she will be delivered to Carnival by shipbuilder Meyer Werft in Papenburg. The ship proudly displays a Texas star on the bow to celebrate Jubilee’s homeport of Galveston.
The ship will feature unique concepts in sea-themed zones that will entertain guests with delicious food and beverage options, such as the Dr.Inks, Ph.D. Bar. Technology and other design elements will transport guests from a sunny pier-like “boardwalk” to an adventurous ocean-floor promenade.
Carnival Jubilee, the cruise line’s third ship powered by a Liquefied Natural Gas propulsion system, also features other stunning innovations, such as top-deck rollercoaster BOLT: The Ultimate Seacoaster and guest favourites such as Guy’s Pig & Anchor Smokehouse and Shaquille O’Neal’s Big Chicken restaurant.
Carnival Jubilee will cruise year-round to popular Caribbean destinations, including Cozumel, Costa Maya, Mexico, and Mahogany Bay (Roatan). Visit the Carnival website to view all available sailings.
