After a four-year absence, British Airways will resume daily flights to Abu Dhabi next year.
Now available for booking, the route will begin its service from London Heathrow to the UAE capital on 20 April 2024.
This Middle Eastern metropolis is popular with people seeking an eclectic mix of culture, relaxation, and adventure, with its towering architecture, rich culture, desert landscapes, stunning beaches, and world-class attractions.
The new flight, which will be operated by a Boeing 787-9 aircraft in the summer of 2024, will improve access to the UAE by joining flights to nearby Dubai, which operate up to three times daily from Heathrow.
British Airways offers return prices starting at £449 in World Traveller (economy) and £1,999 in Club World (business class), valid until 12 November 2023 to celebrate the introduction. Executive Club members can buy Reward Seats for £100 + 50,000 Avios.
“Abu Dhabi is a unique destination that is making a very welcome return to our network,” said Neil Chernoff, British Airways’ Director of Network and Alliances. It offers everything that our customers are looking for in a Middle Eastern trip, with a mix of beach, city, and desert, and we look forward to welcoming them back as we expand our presence in the UAE.”
“We’re delighted to welcome British Airways back to Abu Dhabi International Airport, adding to the growing list of leading carriers set to use Terminal A as their operational base in Abu Dhabi,” said Maureen Bannerman, Chief Commercial Officer of Abu Dhabi Airports. Terminal A, a new luxury gateway to Abu Dhabi, will open to the public on 1 November, delivering cutting-edge amenities for passengers and airlines.”
