Bonza has expanded its corporate events and group reservations division, and to celebrate the occasion, the airline is offering 20% off over 300,000 tickets from November to March. With the launch of Bonza’s group bookings arm, event planners can work with the low-cost carrier’s dedicated Group Travel Champions on a bespoke planning and booking process for groups of ten or more.
“At Bonza, we’re thrilled to expand and formalise our group booking capabilities.” As more people choose to travel to regional locations for business events, we are already seeing an increased interest in group reservations. There’s also a healthy appetite to travel Bonza for sporting events; when we first went on sale in January, one of our first-ever bookings was for 550 netball players travelling to Townsville for a tournament. We’re humbled to see them return for next year’s event,” said Tim Jordan, CEO of Bonza.
Event planners with ten or more customers on the same flight can get a quote from Bonza’s Group Travel Champions. Each quote includes 23kgs of checked baggage, 8kgs of hand luggage, and an option to “pick seats.” A 25% deposit is required within seven days, with final names and payment expected 30 days before departure. Bonza can change the names on the bookings at no additional cost up until two days before departure. Payments can be made by bank transfer or credit card to provide businesses and groups with additional options.
As the silly season approaches, more businesses take a brief vacation to celebrate with their employees. “We are hearing from several organisations choosing to celebrate the end of the year with a trip across our network for the same price as a traditional restaurant booking or catered event,” Jordan added.
