In a significant move to enhance travel options and connectivity, Air India and Singapore Airlines (SIA) have announced an extensive expansion of their codeshare agreement. This marks the first major expansion of codeshare arrangements between the two airlines since 2010, adding 11 Indian cities and 40 international destinations to their network.
Expanded Codeshare Services
Starting from 27 October 2024, Air India and SIA will codeshare on each other’s flights between Singapore and the Indian cities of Bengaluru and Chennai. This expansion will increase their total weekly scheduled codeshare services between the countries from 14 to 56.
SIA will codeshare on Air India’s domestic flights between Delhi and Amritsar, Bengaluru, Coimbatore, Lucknow, and Varanasi, as well as between Mumbai and several key cities, including Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Bengaluru, Coimbatore, Goa, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow, and Thiruvananthapuram. Additionally, SIA will codeshare on flights between Kolkata and Guwahati.
Air India customers will gain access to 29 destinations across SIA’s network, including major cities in Australia, Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, the Philippines, and Vietnam.
SIA customers will benefit from connections to Air India’s international services from Bengaluru, Delhi, and Mumbai to 12 destinations across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, including Copenhagen, Paris, Frankfurt, Milan, Nairobi, Amsterdam, Jeddah, Riyadh, Colombo, and multiple points in the United Kingdom.
Enhanced Connectivity and Convenience

We also look forward to welcoming Singapore Airlines customers on board our flights within India and westward to multiple points across Europe, Africa, and the Middle East via our hubs in India.”

Future Prospects
Both airlines plan to progressively add other destinations to their network as part of the codeshare arrangements. Subject to regulatory approvals, the codeshare flights will be available for sale through the airlines’ respective booking channels.
This expanded partnership between Air India and Singapore Airlines is set to provide travellers with more options and greater convenience, enhancing the overall travel experience between India, Singapore, and beyond.
