Delta Air Lines is set to revolutionize the in-flight experience by introducing its new cabin interiors. Debuting this fall on a narrowbody Boeing 757, followed by a widebody Airbus A350 in early 2025, the redesign significantly enhances customer comfort and style.
A Modern Makeover
In celebration of Delta’s upcoming centennial anniversary, the airline has meticulously redesigned its cabin interiors to elevate the travel experience. The new design features fresh seating materials, enhanced lighting, a renewed colour palette, and new decorative motifs, all thoughtfully planned to create a welcoming and sophisticated atmosphere.
Mauricio Parise, Vice President of Customer Experience Design, emphasised the importance of this update: “As we embark on our next century of flying, this refreshed cabin interior infuses utility with beauty to create an atmosphere that feels fresh, elevated, and timeless while reflecting our customers’ evolving tastes and expectations.”
Premium Design for All Cabins

Delta’s new cabin design aims to make customers feel at home during their travels. The interiors feature breathable materials, comfortable memory foam cushions on widebody jets, and lighting that promotes relaxation. Based on extensive customer feedback and research, each design element has been carefully considered.
Enhanced Lighting
The new lighting programs are designed to create a cohesive and calming onboard environment. Mood lighting will adjust to suit each phase of the flight, helping customers feel well-grounded and better adjusted to their time zone. From warm, inviting lighting during boarding to candlelit dinner hues at mealtimes and sunset-inspired tones for sleep, every detail has been crafted to enhance the travel experience.
Brand Colours and Design Elements

Delta is reimagining its brand colours with a softer, warmer, and more modern palette. Natural materials such as wool and accents of Delta’s heritage colours are used throughout the cabin. Unique touches, including Delta widget logos and seat tags, create subtle distinctions between cabins, making customers feel more at home.
Launch Schedule
The new cabin design will first appear on a Boeing 757 flying domestic and short-haul international routes this autumn. In early 2025, the design will debut on a widebody Airbus A350 for long-haul international routes. Delta plans to update its fleet with this new design over the next few years, ensuring a uniform and elevated experience across all aircraft.

Taking Flight
“Delta has taken the time to develop every detail of our new interiors; the team intentionally created an experience that mimics our customers’ lifestyles and puts them at ease as soon as they board our aircraft,” concluded Parise. “We look forward to sharing our hard work with our customers and welcoming them onboard.”
Delta’s commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction is evident in these new cabin interiors, promising a fresh and elevated travel experience for all passengers.
