South Side Story, a 139-day world cruise from Silversea Cruises that will arrive in Fort Lauderdale on 28 May after travelling to five continents, set sail from Sydney on 10 January for the first time.
According to Barbara Muckermann, President and Chief Executive Officer of Silversea Cruises, “In this arts-inspired tale, our guests will experience the real beauty and tradition of 66 destinations in 34 countries—each with its own distinct story to tell.”
From the in-flight experience to the airport lounges and entertainment, “every detail of our guests’ journeys has been carefully considered and enhanced. Arriving in Sydney on business-class flights, guests will enjoy bespoke pampering with tailored menus, welcome canapés, vintage champagne, specially embroidered linen, and small flourishes, such as truffle cashew nuts.”
Additionally, each of the special events we have scheduled is unique.
“Around 20% of the passengers on the voyage are new, which is a very high percentage for a world cruise and reinforces the allure of this unforgettable experience. We have two visitors from the UK who have spent more than 2,500 days sailing with us at the start of the journey among our extended family,” Muckermann added.
The route will feature a variety of locations, including well-known regions and cities, as well as Papua New Guinea, Mauritius, Réunion Island, and Cape Verde. There will be 20 overnight stops, including ten days in Tasmania and New Zealand, three days in Myanmar, a week in South Africa, and Silver Shadow’s maiden Amazon River cruise.
With exclusive executive transportation to and from their local airport, each client will have a world cruise that begins and finishes right at their front door.
Additionally, passengers had exclusive access to designated airline lounges and personal help to their gate or lounge. Additionally, they experienced flights to Sydney, Australia, from a few US and UK airports, and seasonal Australian ingredients were served on the journey. Travellers were given expedited embarkation, private executive transportation, and VIP arrival assistance in Sydney. Guests then used the butlers on board Silver Shadow to help them unpack after they boarded.
