The Anam Mui Ne has launched a new culinary experience that brings Vietnam’s beloved sidewalk food culture to a stylish beachfront setting with “Vietnamese Market Favourites,” a twice-weekly night market-style feast on the sand. This immersive dining concept blends authentic street flavours, live cooking stations and local music with the resort’s elegant Indochine-inspired design.
A beachfront tribute to Vietnam’s street food culture

In Vietnam, some of the most memorable meals happen on tiny plastic stools along bustling sidewalks, where recipes are passed down through generations and cooked to order in front of you. The Anam Mui Ne is honouring that tradition with Vietnamese Market Favourites, a new dining experience held every Tuesday and Friday from 6pm to 9.30pm on the resort’s beach lawn.
Overlooking Mui Ne Beach and the resort’s 266sqm saltwater infinity pool, the lawn transforms into a vibrant open-air food market, complete with low bamboo tables and stools to echo the country’s iconic roadside dining scene.
Live stations showcasing Phan Thiet and Vietnamese classics

At the heart of Vietnamese Market Favourites are the live cooking stations, where chefs prepare regional specialties to order, so guests can watch, smell and taste dishes as they’re made. Each stall features clear signage explaining the dish, its ingredients and local origins, adding an educational touch for travellers discovering Vietnamese cuisine for the first time.
Highlights from the Phan Thiet and wider Vietnamese repertoire include:
- Mini rice cakes topped with minced pork meatballs, quail eggs, braised fish and green mango
- Handrolls of finely ground pork seasoned with spices, wrapped in thin rice paper and served with fresh herbs, cucumber and pickled vegetables
- Grilled sesame crackers spread with fermented shrimp paste, then filled with pork, Vietnamese ham, pickled vegetables and herbs before being grilled over an open flame
- Banh Xeo crispy fried pancakes made from rice flour, water and turmeric, stuffed with pork, shrimp and mung bean sprouts
- Bo La Lot, fragrant minced beef wrapped in betel leaves and grilled
- Mi Quang, a central Vietnamese noodle dish with chicken and rich, flavourful broth
Guests can wander from stall to stall as they would in a local market, building a progressive dinner of small plates and street-food favourites.
Seafood, salads, desserts and drinks

Beyond classic street dishes, the serving stations also feature a generous selection of fresh seafood, hot dishes, salads and desserts. Diners can enjoy:
- Oysters and giant river prawns grilled or prepared to order
- Comforting Vietnamese hot dishes such as Bo Kho, a rich braised beef stew
- Fresh, zesty salads like pomelo salad with prawn and pork
- Traditional sweets including Banh Kep (crispy Vietnamese sweet cake) and seasonal tropical fruits
To complement the food, free-flow drink packages are available, including soft drinks and local beer, with an option to upgrade to free-flow wine for a more indulgent evening.
Atmosphere: music, culture and Indochine charm

Set within a 1.2-hectare beachfront resort inspired by Vietnam’s Indochine era, Vietnamese Market Favourites is designed to feel both authentic and refined. The ambience is elevated by local instrumentalists performing traditional music, including the Dan Bau, a one-stringed zither known for its expressive, bending tones.
Resort manager Peter Ye describes the concept as a way to bring “the rhythm of Vietnam’s much-loved sidewalk culture” into the resort, allowing guests to experience the flavours and energy of the streets without leaving Mui Ne’s idyllic shoreline. Visitors can not only eat like a local but also learn about the stories and traditions behind each dish.
