Rex unveiled the airline’s long-awaited and much-anticipated frequent flyer loyalty programme.
Passengers can now sign up for Rex Flyer and start earning Rex Flyer points and status points across both Rex’s domestic and regional networks immediately.
If they sign up before 2 January 2024, they will earn 5,000 Rex points as a sign-on bonus. All members’ reward points will be quadrupled for bookings made by 02 January 2024, regardless of the travel date.
Rex travellers may earn up to 7 points for every dollar spent on flights and up to 5 points for selected Rex Extras such as extra luggage and seat selection.
Rex Flyer members will be able to use their points to redeem flights beginning in mid-November, with three flight reward options: Anytime, Getaway, and Ultimate. The Anytime redemption option allows members to redeem on a first-come, first-served basis and offers the most flexibility of any frequent flyer programme offered in Australia.
Members who have collected the required amount of status points will be assigned one of three Tier Status levels: Sapphire, Emerald, or Diamond, and eligible members will be able to enjoy Tier Status benefits starting in early 2024.
A unique feature of the Rex Flyer program will gradually make all unsold seats accessible at the lowest reward redemption rate (Ultimate) starting 48 hours before the scheduled departure.
“The program, with its superior benefits, means we can at last reward our passengers for the loyalty they have shown us over many years as we have fought hard – often against almost impossible odds – to provide them with safe, affordable and reliable air services,” the Hon. John Sharp, Deputy Chairman of Rex said.
The staggered rollout of Rex Flyer will also be accompanied by new airport lounges planned for Adelaide, Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane, with imminent construction commencing.
