Qatar Airways: Skytrax’s ‘Airline of the Year’ for the 8th Time

Qatar Airways, a 5-star carrier renowned for its commitment to excellence, has again been recognised as the ‘Airline of the Year’ by Skytrax. This marks an unprecedented eighth time that the airline has received this prestigious title, further solidifying its position at the pinnacle of the aviation industry.

A Testament to Excellence

The Skytrax World Airline Awards, often referred to as ‘the Oscars of the aviation industry’, represent the highest standard of excellence in aviation. The awards are a testament to an airline’s dedication to exceptional service and innovation. This year, Qatar Airways not only clinched the coveted ‘Airline of the Year’ title but was also recognized with three additional awards: ‘World’s Best Business Class’, ‘World’s Best Business Class Airline Lounge’, and ‘Best Airline in the Middle East’.

A Remarkable Achievement

In a remarkable achievement, Qatar Airways’ home and hub, Hamad International Airport, was named ‘World’s Best Airport’ in 2024 by Skytrax for the third time. The airport also received the award for ‘Best Airport in the Middle East’ for the tenth time. Furthermore, the airport’s retail, Qatar Duty Free, received ‘World’s Best Airport Shopping’ for the second consecutive year. This is the first time an airline, an airport, and the airport’s retail have been crowned as ‘World’s Best’ in all three Skytrax categories.
