Princess Cruises is dialling up the autumn adventure in North America! In 2027, travellers will be truly spoilt for choice, as Princess Cruises unveils a brand-new season featuring 17 departures between August and the end of October—all designed to showcase the famous fall foliage across Canada and New England.
What’s making waves? For the first time, two Princess ships will be exploring this stunning region together. The 3,560-passenger Regal Princess is set to make her Canada and New England debut, joining the ever-popular Caribbean Princess (also with over 3,100 guests) for a season of leaf-filled wonder and charming port calls.
Why It’s Such a Standout Season:
- More Ships, More Choices: Both ships will operate between three departure ports—New York, Boston, and Quebec City—making it easier than ever to hop aboard.
- Scenic Sails and Hidden Gems: With voyages ranging from 7 to 13 days, guests can explore 13 destinations across 10 US states and Canadian provinces. Expect time in jaw-dropping ports like Boston, Newport, Halifax, and Saint John, as well as magical overnight stays in Old Quebec.
- Breathtaking Sights: Experience unforgettable sights as the ships glide through the vibrant Saguenay Fjord and St. Lawrence River. Many of these itineraries include late-night calls or overnights in Quebec City for an even deeper dive into French-Canadian culture.
- Land & Sea Cruising: For those who want to venture further, Princess Cruises offers fantastic land extension packages. The Historic America Cruisetour takes in Washington, D.C., Monticello, Colonial Williamsburg, Philadelphia, and Gettysburg, while the Maple Explorer Cruisetour shines a spotlight on Niagara Falls, Ottawa, and Montreal.
Imagine sailing from New York past the Statue of Liberty, breathing in crisp sea air on the Regal Princess before dropping anchor in photogenic colonial towns, sampling world-class seafood, or simply soaking up a palette of fiery autumn leaves from your private balcony.
Meanwhile, Caribbean Princess will offer longer journeys—think 10- and 11-night cruises between Boston and Quebec City, including extended stays and scenic river passages, perfect for anyone who wants more time to relax and explore.
The very first sailing of the season launches with Regal Princess on 21 August 2027, followed closely by Caribbean Princess departing from Boston on 7 September.
Six UNESCO World Heritage Sites are included across these itineraries, so expect history, natural beauty, and culture at every turn.
If you’ve always dreamed of experiencing autumn in North America—the vibrant colours, the crisp air, the maple-scented towns—there’s never been a better chance to leaf-peep in comfort and style. Discover the new itineraries and find your perfect northern adventure with Princess Cruises in 2027.
