Something extraordinary is on the horizon for cruise enthusiasts: Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines will unite its entire fleet for a vibrant ‘Fleet Fiesta’ in Las Palmas, Canary Islands, on 1 December 2026. For the first time in its history, the 1,250-guest Balmoral, 1,353-guest Borealis, and 1,338-guest Bolette will dock together for what’s set to be an iconic day of celebration and cruising camaraderie.
This isn’t just a fleeting photo opportunity or a simple port call—it’s a full-blown maritime festival. Guests aboard each ship will have the unique chance to disembark and explore the other two vessels, making it a floating open-day unlike any other.
Each ship will showcase its own flair and personality through a variety of activities: think lively live music, captivating performances, games, and culinary tastings highlighting each ship’s signature flavours. The decks will be abuzz with entertainment, social events, and plenty of opportunities for guests to mingle and make new friends from all around the world.

Las Palmas will provide the perfect backdrop for this nautical gathering. With its golden beaches, historic old town, and lively atmosphere, it’s the ideal place to mark such a festive occasion.
While in port, passengers can venture ashore to explore the charms of Gran Canaria—strolling sunlit promenades, shopping in vibrant markets, or simply enjoying the island’s delicious food and drink before returning for even more onboard festivities.
The real magic happens as the sun begins to dip over the Atlantic. In a grand crescendo, all three ships will come alive with a colossal sail-away party. Crowds will gather on the open decks, flags flying and glasses raised, as the ships sound their horns and bid an epic farewell to Las Palmas. Each vessel will then set off on its own distinct itinerary, carrying guests on new adventures while sharing the warm memories of this shared celebration at sea.

The ‘Fleet Fiesta’ is a dazzling reminder of what makes small-ship cruising with Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines so special: a sense of community, discovery, and fun. With all gratuities and selected drinks included on all sailings departing after 1 January 2026, guests can relax and fully savour the experience—from the first step aboard to the unforgettable sunset send-off.
This milestone reunion promises to be a highlight of the European cruise calendar, setting a new standard for festive gatherings on the high seas.
