In a major milestone for travel retail, Emirates has officially opened its redesigned Travel Store in Jakarta, Indonesia, underscoring the airline’s commitment to enhancing the customer experience. Following the successful launches of its retail stores in Hong Kong and Manila, this new space represents the airline’s continued investment in providing exceptional services throughout the region.
Located in Sequis Tower, the 221-square-metre Travel Store was officially launched by Orhan Abbas, Emirates’ Senior Vice President, Commercial Operations, Far East, alongside H.E. Abdulla Salem AlDhaheri, UAE Ambassador to Indonesia, and other esteemed guests, including trade partners and media representatives.

Orhan Abbas shared:
“We are delighted to launch Emirates’ newest travel store in Indonesia, bringing our world-class hospitality and personalised service even closer to our valued customers. This innovative concept reflects our commitment to excellence, customer-centricity, and delivering seamless travel experiences.”
Redefining the Retail Travel Experience
The Emirates Travel Store in Jakarta combines personalised service and immersive brand experiences in a modern, luxurious setting. Designed to offer a warm and welcoming atmosphere, the store features soft beige tones, sleek furnishings, and comfortable lounge areas where customers can relax while browsing a curated selection of Emirates-branded merchandise and exclusive travel accessories.
At its heart are four dedicated customer service counters, where Emirates’ travel advisors provide tailored support with flight bookings, ticketing, and queries about the airline’s latest products and destinations. This personalised approach ensures every customer enjoys a seamless, elevated experience, embodying Emirates’ signature hospitality.
Innovative features include a wall display of the UAE’s iconic Ghaf tree and a dynamic LED screen showcasing Emirates’ milestones, destinations, and special offers. Guests can also enjoy a voice-activated LED selfie screen at the entrance, where they can capture fun photos with backdrops of Emirates destinations and access their images via QR codes—no prints required.
In a first for the airline’s retail spaces, the Jakarta store introduces a queue management system, streamlining the customer experience for shorter wait times and allowing feedback via WhatsApp.
Emirates in Indonesia
With more than three decades of service in Indonesia, Emirates continues to play a pivotal role in connecting the country with the world. The airline operates double daily flights from Jakarta and Denpasar to Dubai, with onward connections to over 140 destinations across six continents. Emirates also offers Bali’s only scheduled daily A380 service, providing significant capacity for travellers to and from the city.
The new Emirates Travel Store in Jakarta represents a bold step forward in retail travel excellence, ensuring customers experience modern luxury, personalised service, and cutting-edge innovation from the moment they begin planning their journey.
