As someone who’s always on the lookout for seamless and convenient ways to travel, I’m excited to share that China Southern Airlines is making it easier than ever to fly between Brisbane and China. For the peak summer season of 2025/26—from December 15, 2025, to February 22, 2026—China Southern will double its flights on the Guangzhou–Brisbane route, offering two daily services.
This is a pretty big deal because just earlier this year in June, they ramped up from four weekly flights to a daily schedule. Now, with the double daily flights during the busiest travel period, there’s plenty of flexibility for travellers to fit flights around their plans, whether it’s a holiday, business trip, or family visit.
What’s even better is that both flights will be operated on the impressive Airbus A350—a modern aircraft known for its comfort and quiet ride. The added frequency means smoother connections through Guangzhou, opening up easier pathways not just to China but to destinations beyond as well. For frequent flyers or anyone dreaming of exploring Asia, this kind of access is a game-changer.
The numbers back up this enthusiasm—China Southern boosted its passenger numbers into Australia by 7.3% year-on-year in May 2025, and these new flights mean 53,000 extra seats on the Brisbane route alone. The airline wants to meet growing demand and make travel less stressful and more enjoyable.
This increase also comes amid rising interest from other Chinese airlines expanding their Australian networks, like Shenzhen Airlines debuting flights to Melbourne—a clear sign that connections between Australia and China continue to strengthen and become more vibrant.
For those planning their next trip or just dreaming about what’s possible, it’s worth keeping China Southern on your radar for some of the best options flying in and out of Brisbane. You can explore more about their routes and services at China Southern Airlines. Who knows? Your next adventure might be just a flight away.
