Bonza B737-Max
Australia’s newest low-cost airline is ready to take to the skies, and fares will start at only $49. Travellers may now book tickets to 12 destinations across 15 routes as part of Bonza’s phased distribution of flying routes.
On 31 January, the maiden flight of the new airline will take off from Sunshine Coast to the Whitsunday Coast.
The airline urges customers to make direct reservations using the Fly Bonza app to get the best prices and the chance to board one of the first flights on Tuesday; Guests may even make reservations as far in advance as October 2023.
“Your wait is over! According to Carly Pover, the chief commercial officer of Bonza, 2023 is the Year for Australia, with affordable air travel to many holiday spots, some of which still need to be explored.
We’re happy to follow through on our promise to make air travel more affordable. It’s time to see more of your own backyard for less. We promised more affordable options and improved connections for the regions, and we have been grateful for the support of our cause.
Given that 93% of Bonza’s routes are currently not served by an airline and 96% are not served by a low-cost carrier, Povey stated that Bonza was committed to improving accessibility to travel and regional connectivity.
Travellers can fly from the Sunshine Coast to Rockhampton, Port Macquarie, and Coffs Harbour for as little as $49.
The highest-priced flights are available for $79 and include destinations such as Mildura and Avalon.
Bonza waited many months before receiving official permission to fly from the civil aviation safety authority; nevertheless, during that time, they developed a travel agency site, which was the only option to book with the airline other than directly and promised affordable pricing.
“It’s vital that Aussie tourists know we’re on sale, not having a sale,” Povey said, adding that the prices are here to stay.
“We are dedicated to low-cost tickets that will create new markets for Australia’s domestic tourist sector. We are certain that whenever customers want to fly, our prices, not just our low-cost fares, will provide excellent value.”
Routes from Bonza’s second base at Melbourne Airport are set to be on sale within the next several weeks.
