Aman at Sea has reached a major milestone with the successful float‑out of Amangati, the brand’s first ultra‑luxury yacht, ahead of her scheduled 2027 launch. The 183‑metre vessel, a joint venture between Aman and Cruise Saudi, will bring the brand’s famed serene, high‑privacy “resort” experience to the Mediterranean, with reservations for her inaugural itineraries opening early this year.
Float-Out in Genoa and Next Steps
Amangati’s completed hull recently arrived in Genoa after an almost week‑long tow from San Giorgio di Nogaro in northern Italy. The yacht is now moored at the T. Mariotti shipyard, where she will undergo her full interior and technical outfitting over the coming months.
This float‑out marks a key construction milestone and keeps the project on track for delivery in 2027, when Amangati will begin sailing her first curated Mediterranean seasons. As Aman’s inaugural yacht, she will anchor the new Aman at Sea platform, positioned firmly in the ultra‑luxury “resort‑at‑sea” segment.
Design, Suites and Onboard Spaces
Designed by Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design, Amangati will measure around 183 metres and host just 47 spacious suites, maintaining one of the lowest guest densities at sea. Each suite will feature a private balcony or terrace, dedicated lounge and seating areas, king‑size bed, curved ceilings, full‑height windows and warm timber‑toned interiors, echoing Aman’s tranquil land‑based sanctuaries.
The yacht will be home to four distinct dining concepts, a Jazz Club, an expansive Aman Spa with a Japanese garden, a large Beach Club and marina at the stern, plus two helipads for seamless arrivals and exclusive touring. Public spaces are being crafted to deliver Aman’s trademark calm, with flowing lines, natural materials and an emphasis on light, privacy and connection to the sea.
Aman DNA at Sea
Aman Group chair and CEO Vlad Doronin has described Amangati as a floating embodiment of the brand’s DNA, promising “exceptional privacy, best‑in‑class amenities and unparalleled service not yet experienced on the water”. The aim is to mirror the tranquillity and intimacy of Aman’s hotels and resorts while meeting the highest standards of maritime engineering and design.
Even at this early stage, the vision is clear: Amangati is not conceived as a conventional cruise ship, but as an ultra‑luxury resort at sea, with a focus on space, silence, bespoke experiences and deep immersion in each destination. Environmental considerations, including hybrid propulsion and battery technology, are being integrated to reduce emissions and support more sustainable operations.
Mediterranean Itineraries and Bookings
Amangati will launch in the Mediterranean for summer 2027, with itineraries expected to highlight exclusive ports, extended stays and highly personalised shore experiences. Early sailings are set to focus on sought‑after French and Italian Riviera destinations and other intimate harbours inaccessible to larger cruise ships.
Reservations for Amangati’s first Mediterranean season are due to open in early 2026, giving loyal Aman guests and ultra‑luxury travellers the chance to secure a place on the brand’s debut journeys at sea. For those already devoted to Aman’s quiet, design‑led properties on land, Amangati’s float‑out signals that the same “peaceful motion” promised by her Sanskrit name is now one step closer to becoming a reality on the water.
