Azamara Journey Debuts New Entertainment at Sea
Azamara Cruises is raising the curtain on a fresh era of onboard entertainment, with Azamara Journey debuting a new lineup of original productions created in partnership with RWS Global. The rollout follows the program’s first appearance on Azamara Pursuit in April and marks the next step in a fleetwide refresh that blends live music, immersive storytelling and cinematic visuals.
Guests sailing on Journey’s recent Spain Intensive Cruise were the first to experience two new shows—Rendezvous in Paris and Cinemaphonic—alongside returning favourites Written in the Stars and Vinyl Records: The Studio Sessions.
New Signature Productions: Rendezvous in Paris & Cinemaphonic
The standout addition to Journey’s Cabaret Lounge is Rendezvous in Paris, a sophisticated cabaret that reimagines a Parisian dream. Drawing inspiration from iconic venues such as Théâtre du Lido and contemporary cabaret experiences, the show pairs couture‑style costuming with opulent visuals, live vocals and a modern twist on classic French glamour.
Complementing it is Cinemaphonic, a high‑energy musical revue that follows four starry‑eyed dreamers from casting calls to award shows, set to a soundtrack of film‑inspired hits and orchestrations. Together, the two productions showcase the breadth of Azamara’s updated entertainment vision—intimate, narrative‑driven and rooted as much in emotion as in spectacle.
Fleetwide Rollout and Returning Favourites
Azamara’s new entertainment program is not limited to Journey. Following their debut on Pursuit and Journey, Written in the Stars and Vinyl Records: The Studio Sessions are being introduced across the fleet, with launch dates set for Azamara Quest on 26 November and Azamara Onward on 13 April.
In total, Azamara and RWS Global are rolling out 13 new, exclusive entertainment experiences from 2026, including 10 original stage shows, two interactive game shows and a series of themed musical “pop‑up” moments. The investment also includes technical upgrades to venues to support higher production values and more immersive staging.
Elevating Evenings Onboard Azamara
For Azamara, the entertainment refresh is a natural extension of its Destination Immersion philosophy, giving guests evenings that feel as thoughtfully curated as their time ashore. “Entertainment is an essential part of the onboard experience, and we’re excited to continue evolving our programming aboard Azamara Journey,” says Simon Blacoe, vice president of hotel operations. He adds that the new productions “bring together incredible talent, memorable music and immersive storytelling to create dynamic performances that guests can enjoy throughout their sailing.”
